SEIWOOO is an Urban-Planning & Landscape-Architecture platform based in Tokyo-Japan.
The de-territorialized team articulates works and studies in protean projects. From Ecological Architecture in Japan to territorial planning for Art Foundation in France, and collaborating with multidisciplinary worldwide Academics Researchers for the establishment of an Ecological Democracy. The agency has completed various scales of projects as residential landscape architecture, urban planning as well as private gardens in Korea, China and France. Alban Mannisi is the founder and director of SEIWOOO.
Lived and practiced in Nantes, Bordeaux, Paris, Seoul, Singapore, London and currently Tokyo. He has been participating in worldwide projects, collaborating with professionals in various fields: Landscape Architects, Architects, Urban and Territorial Planners, Environmentalists and Academical Research Laboratories.
He founded the International group of research ZZAC connecting related professionals and writies/publishes articles and books as an editor with ZZacBook based in South Korea, France and Japan. Also as an academic, he taught Landscape - Architecture to Architects and Urban-Planners in Seoul.
As a Researcher he collaborate with the French laboratory Architecture / Milieu /Landscape of ENSA Paris La Villette, and the Environmental Ethics Laboratory at Tokyo Institute of Technology. Alongside the Hybrid team of architect_ Yann Nussaume and philosophers_Philippe Nys, Toshio Kuwako, he develop theoretical approaches for an Ecological Democracy.
His work was exhibited in Italy at the Villa Medici (1999), in Seoul at the Korean Landscape architecture Exhibition (2005) and the KT Art Gallery (2008). He also took part in the Iraqi Memorial Exhibition Tour in San Francisco, Reno, and New York galleries. His representative works have been published in Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, Germany and Italy.
