Skylab Architecture was founded in 1999 as a laboratory to explore a small departure from an industry of mounting standardization.Led by principal architect Jeff Kovel, they are a team of professionals working to blur the distinction between architecture and design. Skylab Architecture works on residential and commercial projects. Projects include award-winning LEED gold retail, a commercial office that turns the cubicle into modules of practice a restaurant designed as an urban escape, and a private residence bordering a 5000-acre wooded urban park that cantilevers to erase boundaries between inside and outside.
