The firm is based in Western Australia and has built a national profile as one of the leading building design firms in the country. All design solutions are underpinned by 20 years industry experience, extensive research, meticulous and detailed documentation, resulting in specific design solutions for the client and site. In 2007 this culminated in DDA being awarded Australia’s most prestigious building design prize for National Design Excellence from the Building Designers Association of Australia. As principal of DDA, Dane Richardson has accumulated morethan 20 years experience in the property development industry encompassing construction, construction management, quality control, and design. Over this time Dane has developed long standing relationships and repeat work with industry professionals, developers and clients. More recently, Dane has been recognised as a leader in the Australian building design industry by being asked to sit on the judging panel for the Building Designers Association of Australia Awards in 2011. In addition to his experience in Australia, Dane has worked on a number of large scale projects overseas including in Indonesia, India and China. These projects have involved work in both design and construction management.
