Nicole Splater was hired by Deniz Orhun and Lindsey Jurca to
design information graphics and icons for the Environmental Charter
High School. Nicole graduated from Art Center College of Design in
Pasadena, California where she received her B.F.A in graphic design.
She has been working professionally now for five years. Some of
the companies she has done work for are, Lexus, Behr Paints, and
Warner Bros. to name a few. Her emphasis is in branding, packaging
and identities. She is currently working on launching a fashion based

school, that emphasizes on sustainability. Within each environmental
charter high school is a Green Ambassadors Institute which
empowers teachers and administrators to use the environment as
the context for interdisciplinary learning that
connects students to their campus, community and environment.
Throughout their campus are 14 interventions that display different
ways and techniques that the school actively uses to show students
and group tours alternative, greener ways of living. They hired us to
create 14 wayfinding signs that describe each of the interventions.
The signs and posts are made from 100% recycled materials.
