Simon Jacobsen is an award winning designer and son of Hugh Jacobsen as well as the managing design partner of the firm who oversees corroboratively and independently on projects in North America, Europe and the Caribbean. Most recent projects include his own newly completed house (Architectural Digest, winner AIA/DC Washingtonian award) The Boxwood Winery in Middleburg, VA (Winner 2007 AIA Merit Award), The del Balzo Residence in Nantucket (Architectural Digest "Nantucket Reexamined.") The Adams Residence in Washington (The Washington Post "Turning Tables in the Dining Room") The N Street Trust, Apres Peau, The Washington Institute for Dermatologic Laser Surgery and numerous residences throughout Washington and the United States. Simon Jacobsen has been with the company professionally for 16 years, but has worked for the firm off and on since he was 13. Before returning to Washington from graduate school, he interned for Nagle-Hartray Architects in Chicago.
