1980 was founded by Hiromasa Mori and Takuya Hosokai in Japan, 2005. They have worked on several architectural projects for over two years and have two realized projects, Kuro and Shiro, which were built in Fukui, Japan. The main themes of 1980’s work were primarily in the division between internal and external space, and the use of non-physical cues to separate space. Currently Hiromasa is a co-founder of HYAD and is based in Japan, and Takuya is a founder of TAKUYAHOSOKAI and is based in Madrid.
