Brad Goldberg is an artist who sees his work as a fusion between sculpture, the landscape, and the built environment. Sculptures are seen, not as isolated objects, but rather as spirit-creating components of larger spatial experiences. The desire to work with the environment as a whole has necessitated expanding outside the traditional role of studio sculptor, into an area that might be termed landscape
sculpture. Ultimately, each new project generates a unique, spontaneous response to the total aspect of a specific place or circumstance, and entails the many complexities of working on large environmental projects. Brad works as an idea generator, which has led to collaborative efforts with other artists, architects, design professionals, civic leaders, and communities. These efforts have resulted in the creation of site-specific sculptures, parks, gardens, interior spaces, furniture, and landscape installations. Brad resides in Dallas where he keeps his studio. He frequently travels internationally to work on projects and to maintain a world perspective. “In time,” he states, “with many experiences layered over one another, I am hoping my work will reflect a cultural collage, more in keeping with artistic truths than passing fashions.
