GTL Landscape Architects was founded in Kassel in 1991 by Markus Gnüchtel and Michael Triebswetter. They have more than 20 years experience in planning and implementing
complex and large scale landscape design.
Markus Gnüchtel was born in St. Ingbert / Saar in 1958. From 1982-89 he studied landscape architecture at the University of Kassel at Prof. Lucius Burckhardt and Prof. Bernard Lassus,Paris.
Michael Triebswetter was born in Erding in 1961. From 1982-88 he studied Landespflege at the TU Munich Weihenstephan at Prof. Wolfgang Haber and Prof. Peter Latz.
In 1988 Markus Gnüchtel and Michael Triebswetter entered into the office Wehberg - Lange - Eppinger - Schmidtke in Hamburg. Being responsible for direction of projects,
direction of objects and competitions, they began to collaborate with each other within the same office.
In 2004, working for the Olympic Games 2008, a temporary Office in Beijing was opened. After the termination of the project, the office turned into a representative office. In addition to the office in Kassel, a second office in Düsseldorf, Germany was opened in 2007.
