Andrés Perea gets the Architect title by the School of Architecture in Madrid in 1965. In 1967 he begins to teach the Projects course at the same school, starting a teaching job that he has continued since then, extending his pedagogical activity in numerous universities and organisms, both within and abroad, as a visiting professor and lecturer. (Pavia, Barcelona, Madrid, Pamplona, Rome, London, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Seoul, Berlin, Sao Paolo...).
Has received mentions and awards in international competitions as the first (ex-aequo) prize in the Capital Plaza Competition in Taipei (Taiwan), won the competition for the New Multifunctional Management City in Korea, The Performing Arts Center in Seoul (Korea), the Asian Culture Complex (Korea), Centre for Environmental Studies in Korea, as well as a mention in the Vores competition by Carlsberg in Copenhagen (Denmark) and the Pompidou Centre in Paris, etc.
He has been invited as jury and elected by the own contestants in numerous architectural competitions (building for the University of Alicante, new Head Office for the Ministry of Public Works Delegation in Guadalajara, General Library for the University of Balearic, the Madrid City Council Urbanism, Architecture and Public Works 13th edition Award, among others).
He has received the Quality Award from the government of the Comunidad de Madrid (for 154 houses built in Park Loranca - Garden City), the Urbanism, Architecture and Public Works award from the City Council of Madrid 1998 (for the Rafael Alberti Library), and the Sol-Thermic Award for research. He has been selected for the Spanish Biennale of architecture in several editions. His work has been collected in national and international publications. Currently, he continues his professional practice and is a founding member of the Sustainability and Architecture Association (ASA).
