El Equipo Creativo, composed by the architects Oliver Franz Schmidt and Natali Canas del Pozo, is an architecture and interiorism studio specializing in the creation of spaces for the gastronomy. Oliver Franz Schmidt (Kusel, Germany, 1969) is trained as a carpenter before studying architecture in Kaiserslautern and Barcelona. During his academically career he is winning the German Promotional Award for Wood Building Construction, the European award for Solar Building and the German Egon Eiermann award. Once completed his studies he collaborates with EMBT – studio, Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue in Barcelona, ASTOC - Kees Christiaanse, Architects & Planners in Cologne, and the architect Xavier Claramunt in Barcelona. Since 2003 he is specializing in gastronomic design. For the ALICIA – Foundation he works as an
architectural consultant and is also responsible for the design of the kitchen. ALICIA is a catalan centre for agro - alimentary innovation and investigation that counts with the support of the chef Ferran Adrià. Natali Canas del Pozo (San Sebastian, 1975) studied architecture in Barcelona and Berlin and carried out a Master in Architecture, Art and Ephemeral Space at the
UPC Foundation. In 2006 she was awarded with a full scholarship from La Caixa Foundation to fulfill the Master in Advance Architectural Design at Columbia University of New York, where she won the prestigious William Ware Prize for Excellence in Design. Her professional experience as an architect includes collaborations at the Exhibition Design Department of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Studio Daniel Libeskind in Berlin, or the studio ADD+ Bailo Rull in Barcelona.
