Glamuzina Paterson Architects (GPA) was established in 2007 by Dominic Glamuzina and Aaron Paterson. GPA is a design-focused architecture studio based in Auckland, who maintains an interactive collaborative environment with a view to creating a critical and adaptive practice. The vision for GPA is to learn from the unique territories inherent in each project and the unexpected outcomes that emerge. While influenced by the history and evolution of New Zealand’s diverse landscape, GPA is also actively engaged in the progressive
discourse of the cities and the built environment, positioning themselves within the liberal context of the architectural community. GPA has been involved with academic teaching at the University of Auckland since 2007, running design studios concurrent with the contemporary dialectics of architectural practice. It is this dialogue between architectural pedagogy along with the praxis of research and experimentative design which enables the development of strategies that inform GPA’s dynamic design language.
