250 gramm 250 gramm is an independent graphic design studio specializing in editorial design, corporate identity and visual communication for the creative industry. Founded in 2006 by Dutch graphic designer Nivard Thoes (creative director) in partnership with Ma Yin Kwan (project coordinator), 250 gramm is currently based in Guangzhou, China. We strongly believe in a content-driven design approach, achieved by rigorous research on the specific characteristics and context of a project in close collaboration with our clients. Our ultimate aim is to deliver authentic and progressive concepts and to craft unique, intelligent design solutions that adapt to the particular needs of each client and do not go unnoticed. Besides a strong dedication to craftsmanship and a commitment to experimentation, we always aim to create appropriate and sincere design solutions that are impactful and multilayered… Besides executing commissioned projects for clients we regularly initiate autonomous projects, implementing a down to earth design mentality combined with playful anarchy.
