Although Thales Leonard dos Santos Aquino is his full name, he
prefers Thales L. Aquino, because it represents a perfect harmony
between firstly a cheerful and resonant name and secondly a strong
and robust last name. “A great nonsense”, he says.
With Tales of Miletus indeed, it can be considered an interesting
association. In despite of Aquino not been genius, or a precursor
like Miletus, he began his professional path in technical drawing,
becoming a mechanic. Later he pursued a communication and
graphic professional career.
Without using any major theory, Aquino found in the design essence
of all things. It was in Industrial Design College where he began his
evolutionary thinking. From the 2nd year of graduation, he wanted
to check – in Europe – what he had been learning in his art history
classes. In the 3rd, decided to undertake an academic exchange in
Santiago de Chile, resulting in many gains, for which not even the
stars could employ counterforce.
Now being 28 years old and with experience in planning,
creation and graphic production coupled with its international
academic training, Thales L. Aquino enabled himself, to undertake
implementation/ supervision activities of strategic communication,
information design and branding, these without ever evading
philosophical ideologies.
