The methodology of this project became about starting with a colour that would be appropriate both during the day and at night. A whole range of colours were studied and broken down into how each colour would feel and what it would represent. Green became the predominant colour for the refurbishment for several reasons. Firstly, the colour felt fresh which suited both a corporate lunch time crowd and also an edgier clubbing crowd by night. The colour green also seemed to bring a feeling of nature into a subterranean lightless space. Whilst the colour could also read as calming during the day, it could be perceived as young a funky by night. The green was then contrasted by hard edged floral and geometric prints, giving the interior a clean cut feel.
