Set over 800sqm and two levels, this unique and innovative rooftop concept offers dramatic views of the city by the sea. On arrival, guests amble slowly up the grand staircase, overlooking enigmatic ocean views, to find this unparalleled experience in Pattaya, set to breathtaking heights, awe-inspiring décor and eye-catching light displays.
Transforming the rooftop, not originally intended for F&B use, was challenging, given the space limitations, existing housed M&E equipment, and venue requirements. With meticulous space planning, injecting sleek, clean lines and capturing the extended space beyond the normal footprint of the building with the suspended ‘Infinity Bar’, dwp exceeded client expectations. One of the most remarkable architectural aspects is the open-air ‘Stargazer Lounge’, complete with circular opening in the overhanging roof. Spacious and intimate, indoor and outdoor dining spaces blend seamlessly together, with large expansive windows to capitalize on views.
The finishes concept follows an unveiling experience, from dark to light, including black granite flooring, artificial timber slats, smoked-mirror walls, painted black ceilings with limited lighting fixtures, and a self-illuminating strip light on the wall leading horizontally to the logo ‘Horizon’, where guests are greeted. Moving along the corridor with similar foyer finishes, a gentle groove on artificial timber slats, forming wave patterns, guides guests to the main dining hall inside.
This is surrounded by clear glass panels, maximizing the ocean view. The ceiling is continued from the lobby, but with optical fiber lighting, mimicking a dining moment beneath the stars. Custom-made furniture pieces are upholstered in deep blue velvet fabric, echoing the ocean at night. The triangulated counter bar is clad with smoked-mirror, projecting interesting reflections, similar to that of falling stars. The outdoor lounge is complete with organic-shaped furniture, on artificial timber flooring. The deck bar has the same shape concept of the indoor one, but finished in frosted glass pieces, with LED lighting glowing from within, giving high contrast to black floor tile and the night’s sky.
