Dressed in white, and more white, this house is a Zen-like retreat, the whiteness adding to the sense of calm and peace.
Nothing interferes with your line of vision from the living room to the dining, and then to the guest room, you see through everything. Glass walls, mirrored partitions, pristine white furniture and steel accessories only adding to the clean — lined look of the house. The little spurts of colour are provided only in terms of furnishings.
The owner and the designer worked together on this apartment for over a year until it came up to client's expectations. As a perfectionist, Sonali believes in giving the best to her clients.
The Armani sofa, in white, lends an elegant touch to the sitting area, while the mirrored centre table adds a glamorous touch. An Anne Jacobsen acrylic hanging chair almost merges in to the design.
The dining room, with its transparent acrylic and glass dining table, almost merges with the walls.
While master bedroom makes a subtle statement, son's bedroom is slightly more vibrant, with hints of green on the couch, the floor and the walls. However an accent of lime green in the form of the couch and rug adds certain freshness to this room. On other hand daughter's bedroom is straight out of a fairytale, there is a lovely bed, fluffy and canopied that takes the center stage, an en suit bathroom with a walk-in-wardrobe, and a luxurious lounge area.
The colour white never looked so dramatic. This house explores the various dimensions of the colour.
