“breakup” is an architectonic phor for the breakdown and recovery of our economic system: the facade of the exhibition hall is collapsing and an avalanche of crumbling squares is descending to the ground. The words on the facade point to the reasons that led to the breakdown.
At the same time out of the ruins of the collapsed system a new one starts to grow. The squares rise up to build up new connections and structures. The visitors meander inbetween the ruins and the emerging new construction to discover illuminated quotes from famous authors, politicians and philosophers that address the topic of rebirth.
