Fellow Staffordshire d business JCB have called upon Envisage for various projects over the years; this stand designed for the INTERMAT show being one of the most impressive and successful to date.
This stand was used to showcase the range of engines and transmissions that JCB manufacture, and also to project the image of modernity and technological advancement.
Our designer’s solution to this was to create the concept of “art gallery” plinths with giant lanterns above each engine that was being showcased. It was decided that any effective stand at a show the scale of INTERMAT would need an eye catching and bold solution.
The lanterns provided height for the design, with each of the four sides featuring an image of the product and a bold two word statement which would succinctly communicate the message.
The plinths appeared as if to float on a bed of coloured light, creating an interesting juxtaposition with the heavy product above.
The strong, simple shape of the stand acted as a good communication vehicle for the bold branding of JCB and helped to attract attention amongst such a vast and brash floor.
Pleased with the concept and execution of the project, General Manager of JCB Drivetrain Systems Nigel Harding said, “The exhibition was a huge success and we’ll review how we can grow on this for Bauma.”
