Located on London's sophisticated King's Road, this listed corner building contained a simply beautiful façade whose embellished windows were reminiscent of an old apothecary. In keeping with this aesthetic, a subtle palette of materials was selected to create backdrop for the display of the bakery produce.
The qualities of the existing rough brickwork were enhanced by white washing and contrasting their texture against the smooth refined marble of the countertops. A restrained palette of interior finishes added distinctive touches of colour including warm timber, soft indulgent leather banquettes and reclaimed furniture. Tables and pedestals were selected for the intricacy of their iron s set against rows of distinctive cone shaped lights with slender cabling. Carefully detailed joinery acknowledges the craftsmanship of the original shopfront design.
Open style cabinets compliment the detail of the joinery and allow the prominent presentation of the artisan produce. The cabinets are highlighted by subtle lighting strips while Gail's signature red was introduced into the herringbone pattern, tiled wall features as feel as the bespoke joinery ensuring optimisation of the brand identity.
