In the heart of the vibrant Soho district of London and on a prominent corner site, our approach was to transform the historic listed property into a showcase for the Client's exceptional bakery products. With functionality paramount and mindful of the high footfall in this area, the interior was refined to maximise the display of the produce while ensuring an open, well lit and spacious interior.
Existing rough textured brickwork was white washed, while bright clean and smooth corian was selected to form the feature bar. Areas of the bakery were then deliberately separated using a warm palette of unique materials. A social space at the rear of the property was fitted with a large table with a delicately designed iron and lit by an abundance of bell-shaped ceiling lights to draw the clientele into the property. Side bars continued the material with the use of matt iron and the different areas are seamlessly blended together with subtle changes in finish and bespoke joinery.
To ensure the design was on brand, splashes of Gail's signature red were introduced with prominent dip painted pedestals and stools, bespoke red fridge, touches of coloured paint on de ion boards and bespoke lit up feature signage, all of which coordinated the built environment with the packaging and style of the branded products.
